Fundraising for Organizations
The Bruce Murray Collection has had great success over the years with charity organizations and private schools that have annual fundraising events, These events usually include speakers and a silent or live auction. The success has been with joining up with these organizations or schools to consign six or so framed photographs (usually baseball hall-of-famers) for the live or silent auction, at NO COST to the organization. The organization gets to keep 100% of the proceeds above the minimum bid (reserve) to be paid to us only if the photo sells. The beautifully framed photographs are "reserve" priced much lower than their normal selling price to the organization...and usually sell at auction for substantially more than the minimum bid! Many times double that amount or more!
No Upfront Costs
Even better, to ensure that the photos get the attention and appreciation that they deserve, Shawn Murray, the grandson of the photographer, will attend the event, set up and illuminate each photo, then discuss and explain the photos to individual attendees. If you like, he will even speak to the entire attendee audience to explain the provenance and unique aspects of each photograph. This connection with the audience has created a bidding frenzy for the photos at times, and substantially increases the amounts bid for these items.
For even more potential fund raising, we can offer additional photos to other bidders who didn't win, but will match the highest bid...so as to multiply the organizations income for the evening and even AFTER the event!
